Kate, Chair of the Gather My Crew board, is an experienced leader in non-profit, government and community development sectors. She is highly skilled in crisis management, government, policy and strategy development, emergency management, and business administration. More recently, Kate led Australian Red Cross Emergency Services staff and volunteers through a planned transformational change, in time to then lead the response to the devastating 2019/20 bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic; the largest peacetime operations since World War Two.
Trent Peterson

Trent has over 20 years investment and private equity experience, focused primarily on businesses operating in consumer, retail and media sectors. Trent is Managing Director of Catalyst Investment Managers and the founder and Managing Director of Catalyst Direct Capital Management. Trent was non-executive Chairman of Adairs from 2010 until the IPO in 2015, being the period of Catalyst’s majority ownership.
In addition to being a Non-Executive Director of Adairs Limited, Trent is a Non-Executive Director of dusk Group Limited, Shaver Shop Group Limited, Universal Store Holdings Ltd and Australian Pure Health Pty Ltd (trading as Mr Vitamins). Trent was qualified as a Chartered Accountant and graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce.
Andrea McNamara

Andrea is a founding partner of Alp McNamara, specialist accountants for business owners and private clients. A qualified Chartered Accountant with a Masters of Taxation and 30 years of providing trusted advice. Working with business owners across numerous industries including private hospitals, retirement villages, childcare, importing, manufacture and investment. This has provided Andrea the opportunity to learn and challenge, focusing on assisting clients to minimise their business, economic, investment risks.

With over 20 years of transformative leadership experience, Amy brings a strategic, systems-thinking approach to driving sustainable social change across the health, academic, and community sectors. She has a proven track record in setting strategic direction, optimising resources, and aligning organisational culture to deliver meaningful impact. Amy’s career reflects a deep commitment to advancing community health and wellbeing, underpinned by expertise in executive management, advocacy, and public policy. She is passionate about mission-driven leadership and service delivery innovation, with core strengths in non-profit management, cross-sector collaboration, and creating scalable, values-led solutions.Amy holds a doctoral qualification from the University of Melbourne and MBA from Melbourne Business School.
Dr Susan Palmer

Susan, the founder of Gather My Crew, is a registered psychologist and health consultant. She has a Masters in Psychology, a Masters in Public Health, and a PhD in Psychology. Susan has worked in public health and the not-for-profit sector for the past 20 years and has considerable experience working with those suffering illness, trauma and loss. A passion to build healthier and stronger communities has been combined with this clinical, research and consulting experience to create the foundation of this unique project. Susan is a Churchill Fellow and a Westpac Social Change Fellow.
