Our impact

Gather My Crew exists to mobilise and coordinate untapped help and care within existing communities.

By strengthening informal care networks, we reduce pressure on carers, support people to remain at home for longer, and extend the reach of existing health and community services.

We do this by unlocking the willingness to help that already exists, and providing the structure that turns it into practical, sustainable care at scale.

This page outlines the evidence, outcomes and impact of the Gather My Crew model.

Evidence-informed and user-led

Our approach is grounded in clinical expertise, lived experience and ongoing research.

Gather My Crew was developed by clinical psychologist Dr Susan Palmer, in response to a gap she saw repeatedly in practice: support existed, but people struggled to access it.

Gather My Crew is proudly user-led. Our app, resources and education continue to be shaped by the people who give and receive care.

Impact is measured not only by reach, but by reliability, quality and user experience.

The role of funding

Philanthropic, corporate and government funding enable Gather My Crew to:
  • 100% free to use
  • Invite-only access
  • User-controlled privacy
  • Built by clinicians, trusted by clinicians
  • Recommended nationally by peak bodies, health professionals and community organisations
  • We are a charity and not affiliated with any hospital, service or political organisation

Looking ahead

The need for coordinated, community-based care is growing.

This is what it looks like when helping and caring is organised properly.

Practical, digital, local and personal.
